In 1397, a study entitled “Diagnostic Report” on the condition of Taleghan and Amir Kabir watersheds in Alborz province and Lar, Latian and Mamlou watersheds in Tehran province, was prepared by “Urban Planning and Architecture Research Center of Iran” and commissioned by the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development. The contract “Spatial-Activity Organization Plan of the Catchment Basins of the Five Dams of Tehran’s Drinking Water Supply” (with the approach of maintaining the security of drinking water resources and sustainable tourism), in 1399, according to the order of paragraph 13 of the Resolution “Combating the Pollution of Drinking Water Resources” (approved 1394 and amendments 1398) of the Supreme National Security Council and to the employer “Urban Planning Office and Development and Construction Plans” of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development were notified to this consultant.
